Looking to mark their return from November’s international break with a statement in west London, Wolves will travel to Craven Cottage on Monday night.
Fulham
Starting with the hosts, while Fulham might have shocked many last season as they secured a top-half finish on their Premier League return, Marco Silva’s side have struggled to find a similar level this time around. Last seen heading into November’s international break with a routine 3-1 loss away at Aston Villa, the former Everton boss has seen his side muster just a single victory from their previous seven top-flight appearances. With that extended rut stemming all the way back to September 16th, Fulham should also be concerned by a nightmare record against Monday’s guests. Despite snatching a 1-1 stalemate when they welcomed Wolves to Craven Cottage back on February 24th, Silva’s men have failed to claim a single win from any of their last six meetings. Battling it out in the bottom-half of the Premier League table, Fulham do have the feel of a squad seeking a much-welcomed boost.
Team News
Sustaining a knee injury earlier in the month, Fulham have already confirmed that former Flamengo starlet Rodrigo Muniz will not feature again until the middle of December. Likewise, not making a single Premier League appearance since back on August 28th, the Cottagers will also be without defender Tosin Adarabioyo here.
Notching a first Premier League strike of the season against Aston Villa prior to November’s international break, ex-Wolves striker Raul Jimenez will spearhead the charge against his former club on Monday night.
Wolves
As for the visitors, while Wolves might have been dealing with a string of issues behind the scenes at Mollineaux over the summer, Gary O’Neil’s side should find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Heading into November’s international break with a famous last-gasp comeback at home against Tottenham as they secured a 2-1 win, the former Bournemouth boss now has a top-half finish at the top of his agenda. Opening up October with an action-packed 2-2 draw against Champions League outfit Newcastle, Wolves have lost just one of their previous seven top-flight outings. With that purple patch stemming all the way back to September 16th, Monday’s guests will arrive in west London confident of springing another upset. Unbeaten in all of their last six showdowns against the Cottagers, Wolves should be relishing a trip to Craven Cottage here.
Team News
Sustaining a hamstring injury against Newcastle last month, Wolves will travel to Craven Cottage on Monday night without attacking talisman Pedro Neto. However, aside from the Portuguese attacker, O’Neil’s squad have reported a clean bill of health here.
Although former Atletico Madrid striker Matheus Cunha might have bagged just a pair of Premier League strikes this season, the 24-year-old will lead Wolves’ charge in west London. Expected to sign a new deal at Mollineaux, South Korean international Hee-Chan Hwang will partner Cunha in the final third.
